Creating Active and Effective Playtimes

20% of a child's time at school is spent at play - whether this is play time or lunchtime. We feel it is important for children to use this time to develop their personal and social learning. There are opportunities within play for children to learn collaborative skills, resilience, risk taking and problem solving.

We are developing our new play times to give our children opportunities to explore the environment around them (we are very lucky to have over 1900m2 of beautiful grounds) and learn as they go!

 

We have started with Phase 1 (opening the top woodlands, Willow structures, lego tables and blackboards) and we hope to add to these as the term goes on...
