Pixmore Junior School

Sports Premium

Primary School PE and Sport Funding

Pixmore Junior School must use the funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport they offer. Pixmore has received £18,390 this year.

This means that Pixmore should use the premium to:

Develop or add PE and sports activities that your school already offers.

– Build capacity and capability within the school to ensure that improvements made now will benefit pupils joining the school in future years.

Impact

Allocating this money in the above ways will have a big impact on our children at Pixmore Junior School allowing them to access a wider range of curricular and extra-curricular sports. This will encourage children to take up different sports within the school and in our local community. Promoting sport is very important for our school as it has a positive effect on the healthy lifestyle of the children. We do this in a variety of ways; extra clubs before school, at lunchtime, after school, having sports weeks and taking part in school sporting events and having a high expectation level in P.E lessons. All children have the opportunity to be active at break and lunchtimes by up-skilling a Lunch Time Supervisor to lead games and giving them different equipment to use at lunchtimes.
